Gynecology.  Finishing that in 1983, the Hepworths moved to Clare, MI where Tim began a private practice with the goal to pay off their debts as soon as possible.

In 1988, the Hepworths were appointed by ABWE to serve in Bangladesh as "non-governmental organization" (NGO) workers.  In March 1990, they began their first term of service in Bangladesh.  During the next 20 years, Tim's primary focus was to practice general medicine at Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh.  Throughout his last term there, he saw the expanded ministry to women suffering from Obstetric fistula resulting from prolonged and obstructed labor.

Nancy's ministry focus was in education: supervising expatriate high school children studying by correspondence and giving assistance in topics such as chemistry, physics and math; teaching English to Bangladeshi students studying in the Baptist Bible College of Bangladesh and in the Memorial Christian College of Health Sciences; and working in the hospital business office.

The Hepworth Family returned to Michigan in April 2010 having been reassigned to the ABWE home office in Harrisburg, PA, (due to Tim's health situation) where Tim assumed a new position in July 2010 as International Director of Missionary Healthcare upon the retirement of Dr. Dick Stagg.  Dr. Tim now serves as the first full-time person in that position due to the fact that ABWE's missionary families now number over 1,150 missionaries - plus children and home office personnel.

In July, Tim and Nancy packed up their home in Michigan and moved to their new home in Pennsylvania.

And then in November, the ABWE board approved the Child Safety Policy and also appointed Nancy Hepworth as the new Child Safety Officer for ABWE.
